| LF New SP03-6 Silicon Protection Array |
Tuesday, April 29, 2008
DES PLAINES, IL, April 15, 2008 – Littelfuse, Inc. (NASDAQ/NGS:LFUS) today announced a new type of overvoltage suppression device for data lines and interface circuits in Ethernet, T3/E3, DS3, ADSL2+, and VDSL2+ systems. The SP03-6 combines a transient voltage suppression (TVS) device with a diode rectifier bridge to provide both longitudinal (common mode) and differential protection in one package, suppressing both positive and negative voltage surges. This design innovation results in low insertion loss and a log-linear capacitive loading characteristic with respect to the signal voltage across the device. The result is reduced intermodulation (IM) distortion compared to typical solid-state protection solutions for high-speed data lines.
